Tite spat at by Palmeiras fans: ‘Having to clean my head is bad’

At the end of the press conference, coach Rubro-Negro called for greater respect in Brazilian football

Flamengo manager, Tite gained more respect in football after being spat on at Allianz Parque.

In an interview after the draw between the teams, in the third round of the Brazilian championship, commander Rubro-Negro said that he had to clear his head because of the action carried out by the Palmeiras fans.

– I would like to make an observation. I know that my activity as a coach is quite exposed and I have to bear all the possible insults that come from the outside. And it’s not for Palmeiras fans. They come from people who perhaps don’t have the means to know that there are many children who can be educated. Slurs are part of the game, but spitting is really bad, man. Having to clean my head and clothes is bad, man,” Tite said.

The coach took the opportunity to recall his time working at Palmeiras. In 2006, Tite helped the club escape relegation to the Brasileirão second division.

– It’s only for these people, it’s not for Palmeiras fans. I was here at Palmeiras and I have a stage that I am very proud of. At that moment our work saved Palmeiras from relegation. I have this very strong memory – he concluded.
