Four series played their first match this Sunday (21st)
This Sunday (21st), four NBA playoff games were played, the second day of the postseason of the North American championship. As in the first, all games were won by the team with the best league during the regular season. See the results below.
Boston Celtics 114 x 94 Miami Heat
The best team of the season, the Boston Celtics, did their homework and opened the series against the Miami Heat with a confident victory. The visiting team was missing its star player, Jimmy Butler, and was unable to face the Celtics. The Florida franchise has already reached the last quarter losing with an almost irreversible difference of 32 points. The highlight of the game was Jayson Tatum, with a triple double (23 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds).
Los Angeles Clippers 109×97 Dallas Mavericks
With a rousing first half, the Los Angeles Clippers took the lead in the series against the Mavericks. Even without Kawhii Leonard, the team had a great collective performance, led by James Harden’s 28 points, to confirm the victory. On the Dallas side, Irving and Doncic scored 64 points, which was not enough to beat the Los Angeles team.
Milwaukee Bucks 109 x 94 Indiana Pacers
Even without their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks confirmed their favoritism and beat the Pacers at home. The victory came thanks to Damian Lillard’s spectacular first half, with 35 points. The point guard ended the second half scoreless, but this wasn’t a problem. The scorer of the game was Pascal Siakam, of the Indiana franchise, with 36 points.
Oklahoma City Thunder 94 x 92 New Orleans Pelicans
If the first three games didn’t offer many emotions, the last one had plenty. The game was close until the end and the Pelicans had a chance to take the lead as time expired. One of three candidates for the MVP award, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the scorer of the game, with 28 points. The Canadian is also in the running for the “Clutch of the Year” award and once again showed why this Sunday, being responsible for the game-winning baskets as OKC watched New Orleans take the lead.
