The actor and filmmaker Bernardo Barreto is acting in another new project in North American cinema. Gaining notoriety as the protagonist of Workoutin 2006, and later with his participation in soap operas and films, he has been conquering the international cinematographic scene.
Starring in more than 20 films in the fields of acting, writing and directing, this year his most recent work is highlighted, Invisibles (Ballad of a Hustler), scripted and starring Bernardodirected by Heitor Dhalia. The film won a nomination at the 39th Santa Barbara Film Festival.

The story takes place in New York, and tells the life of Nasir, who enters a life of crime with his childhood friend, Zach, after the murder of his father, an influential member of the mafia. After serving time on Riker’s Island, Nasir forms a gang with powerful criminal connections, beginning a journey in which he collects enemies. When his job turns deadly, he seeks revenge for his father’s death.
The film, which features most of the scenes filmed, had its release paused, and the Brazilian filmmaker began to lead the remodeling of the script alongside a new team on the project. Bernardo also points to new scenes to be recorded:
