Fluminense visits the Conmebol Museum and Cano comments on the quartet’s departure

A delegation from Fluminense visited, on Wednesday (24), the Conmebol Museum, located next to the hotel where the team is based, in Luque, Paraguay. There, striker Germán Cano talked about the match against Cerro Porteño and commented on the absence of four teammates.

Speaking in a leadership tone, he said he was surprised and sorry about what happened. For him, the experience should serve as a learning experience so that such acts are not repeated.

“Obviously we are also surprised by our teammates. Unfortunately it is a bit difficult to talk about it. We always try to help with our experience. We know that it is not good for Fluminense, for all of us. We have always tried to help the boys, but they will learn and this will stay in their mind, so they don’t have to do it again,” he said.

Obviously, there was also talk about Thursday’s match (25), third round of the Libertadores. For him the opponent has a good team and can give him a hard time.

“Cerro Porteño is an excellent team, strong, physical players who press very well. There are great players in the area, like Churín, who we know very well. We will do everything to get the three points,” he said.

The ball rolls at 7pm (Brasilia time) in the Nueva Olla stadium, in Asunción. Fluminense is leader of group A, with four points, while Cerro is third, with three. Colo-Colo (CHI) is second in the group, also with four, but with a record worse than the flu. The Chileans face Alianza Lima (PER), fourth in the table.
