The Denver team opens the series lead
This Thursday (25th), the sixth day of the postseason of the North American championship, three NBA playoff games were played. The evening’s matches marked two distinct realities. See the results below.
Orlando Magic 121 x 83 Cleveland Cavaliers
The Orlando Magic took advantage of their command of the field and defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 121 to 83, in a show by Paolo Banchero. The Italian-American player scored 31 points, being the scorer of the match, and made another 14 rebounds. With this the Florida team reduces the Cavs’ lead in the series.
Philadelphia 76ers 125 x 114 New York Knicks
Like the Magic, the 76ers won at home and cut the Knicks’ lead in the series. The highlight of the game was Joel Embiid, who despite playing with a paralyzed face (Bell’s palsy), scored 50 points and was the scorer of Philadelphia’s victory against the New York team.
Los Angeles Lakers 105 x 112 Denver Nuggets
Unlike the teams in the East, the Lakers did not take advantage of the fan support and lost another game to the Nuggets. Anthony Davis also tried, scoring 33 points and 15 rebounds, but D’Angelo Russell’s play made the difference. On the opposing side, Denver played a consistent game, with double doubles from Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr.. The Colorado team leads 3-0 in the series and with just one more victory, they qualify for the next phase and overwhelms the Lakers.
