President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva declared that the government will take stock of the actions carried out so far by the federal administration and will deliver it to deputies and senators, whether from the base or the opposition. According to the PT deputy, deputies can continue to “believe what they want”, but they have the obligation to know what is happening in the country.
“I have prepared everything we have done in 14 months and I will distribute it to every member of the House and every senator. Everyone will receive it. Those who are from the government, those who are not from the government, those who speak badly, those who speak well, everyone”, Lula declared at the inauguration ceremony of the Biomm insulin production plant, this Friday 26th, in Nova Lima (MG). “And MPs need to know this: they can continue to believe what they want, but they have an obligation to know what is happening in their country.”
For Lula, being president of the Republic “is not difficult, you just need to do the obvious things”. “What you say you know how to do before the election campaign, what you say you will do during the election campaign, you have to put it into practice,” he stressed. The statement, however, contradicts the assessment of former president Jair Bolsonaro who, on several occasions, spoke of the difficulties of the position.
In his speech, the chief executive praised the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, after urging the minister to dialogue more with the National Congress. Lula praised Haddad’s work in preparing the Desenrola program for debt negotiation and the Clique program for credit, launched this week by the federal administration.
According to Lula, Haddad should win two Nobel Prizes in economics for preparing both programs. “Whoever competes for the Nobel Prize in economics already owes you two prizes. You haven’t been nominated yet, but who knows, one day they will nominate you,” the president said.
