The actress shared photos from her wedding to cancer-stricken German architect Detlev Schneider last year, but famous friends thought the artist would get married again
The actress Deborah Evelyn published a tribute to her husband, the German architect Detlev Schneider, died in 2023, victim of cancer. The publication ended up confusing some celebrities, who thought the artist was announcing a new marriage and congratulated her in her comments.
“I married the love of my life, the man of my dreams”, reads the caption of the post, made in the early hours of Friday the 26th. The video shows a sequence of photos of Deborah and Schneider on their wedding day. The two married in 2014 and lived between Brazil and Germany.
Celebrities such as Fátima Bernardes, Sergio Marone, Gloria Pires, Jean Wyllys, Romulo Arantes Neto and Heloisa Périssé wished the couple happiness. “Congratulations to you. Best wishes”, wrote the presenter for example.
“Congratulations to you, beautiful life together,” said Elizabeth Savala, who then seemed to realize her mistake: “Deborah, did something happen?”, she posted.
Other celebrities, however, were not confused and sent messages of support to the actress. This was the case of Beth Goulart, who wrote: “Memories of a great love, receive my affection.” Letícia Sabatella and Flávia Alessandra commented on the post only with hearts.
This Saturday morning, after the consequences of the gaffe, Deborah edited the publication and added the hashtag #tbt and the date of the wedding, April 26, 2014, indicating that the post was just a memory.
