‘I Can’t See What’s in the Fight’: We Get a Better Look at Why Cole Hauser Is the Perfect Actor for Rip!

All agree to highlight the quality of Cole Hauser’s performance at Yellowstone. However, the latter has little to do with Rip, the character he plays in the Western series. Hailing from California, the 49-year-old actor spent his golden youth in a veritable family movie dynasty.

Two completely opposite trajectories

The son of actor Wings Hauser and director Cass Warner, Cole Hauser is also the grandson of screenwriter Dwight Hauser and great-grandson of the legendary Harry Warner, co-founder of Warner Bros. Studios. at the age of 10 to start a full career in cinema.

The trajectory is the exact opposite of his character in Yellowstone, an orphan taken in by John Dutton and hardened by life on a ranch among cowboys. But what Rip and his interpreter have in common is their old-fashioned way of life, that of tough men who are more determined to settle conflicts with fists than with words.

This philosophy of life is also one of series creator Taylor Sheridan, a native Texan who grew up on his grandparents’ ranch. Cole Hauser and Sheridan’s first meeting is a testament to their strong characters as the two men battled each other!

“I don’t like to talk”

During an interview with a men’s magazine Men’s magazineThe American actor spoke about the incident. Although he does not reveal the reasons for this fight, the latter believes that this behavior is not abnormal in his eyes, on the contrary. “That’s what men do.” He said, adding that he was involved in battles on almost every continent.

“I don’t see what’s wrong with fighting.”He added a line that Rip really could have said in Yellowstone. “I don’t like to talk, so we might as well stick it out. In the end, you buy me beer and I buy you back, and that’s about it.”

We now understand why Taylor Sheridan considered Cole Hauser as his only choice to play Rip. Much to the dismay of Josh Lucas, the latter’s longtime friend, who was determined to portray another iconic Yellowstone character…
