Simon Helberg (‘The Big Bang Theory’) joins the new Rian Johnson series

“Howard Wolowitz” completes the cast of ‘Poker Face’ with Natasha Lyonne and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

    simon helbergwho rose to fame for playing Howard Wolowitz on the sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’, is the latest addition to the cast of the Peacock series ‘Poker Face’, which has been created by Rian Johnson (‘Daggers in the back’).

    Natasha Lyonne, the star of the Netflix series ‘Russian Doll’, will star in the series, which according to sources will follow a self-contained chapter format and will see Lyonne’s character working to solve different murders in each episode. At the moment no further details of the plot are known.

    Helberg joins a cast that already includes the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt, Stephanie Hsu, David Castaneda, Jameela Jamil, and Tim Meadowsamong many others.

    The actor, whom we have recently seen in ‘Annette’, was nominated for the Golden Globe as Best Supporting Actor for his role in 2016 in the film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ and has released this year in the US the film ‘As They Made Us’, directed by his ex-partner from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Mayim Bialik.

    ‘Poker Face’ has been in development since March 2021, when Peacock gave the green light for a 10-episode first season. Rian Johnson created the series and is an executive producer. via T-Street Productions. Lyonne, in addition to starring, is an executive producer under the Animal Pictures banner, with Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens serving as co-executive producers.
