Cinderella’s Curse, Horror Based on Disney Fairytale, Gets First Trailer; I wait

Cinderella’s curse (Cinderella’s Curse), a horror film based on the Disney fairy tale, received its first official trailer this Friday (3). Directed by Louisa Warren, the film will be distributed in Brazil by A2 Filmes and will be released in theaters on June 20.

Based on the same folk tale that Disney updated and popularized for children in the 1950s. This time, a little adaptation of the story puts Cinderella and everyone around her in a bloody ball they’ll never forget. After suffering at the hands of her stepsisters and evil stepmother, and suffering humiliation at the ball, Cinderella is pushed to her limits. The Fairy Godmother grants her the power for her final revenge and, transformed into a pumpkin-headed monster, Cinders will clean up once and for all.

In the wave of adaptations of fairy tales into horror tales, another film recently got a bloody version Winnie the Pooh.

Titled Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honeythe film was voted one of the worst films of 2023, entering the 2024 Golden Raspberry, a United States humor film award, conceived as a parody of the Oscar.

Despite negative reviews, the film raised $5.2 million, a considerable amount compared to its investment of only $50,000. The production has already won a sequel. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 introduced new characters, such as Tigger, Piglet and Owl. The film is now showing in cinemas.
