“The Boys” puts Billy Joel to play against the threat of “Stranger Things”.

The official “The Boys” Twitter profile joked about the inevitable competition with “Stranger Things” this Friday (1/4).

As the two series released new episodes, the Rotten Tomatoes website decided to ask their followers, “Which one will you watch first tonight: ‘The Boys’ or ‘Stranger Things?'”

And Twitter replied “The Boys”. “We have ‘Piano Man’ connected to our Walkman, should the need arise,” joked the profile.

The reference to Billy Joel’s music has several meanings. He not only answers the question of which song would save the characters of “The Boys” from an attack by the monster Vecna, but he reminds us of Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) musical preference, which many may have forgotten.

The first season of “The Boys” revealed that Hughie Campbell has a deep passion for the singer’s music. And this goes beyond your musical tastes. It turns out that Hughie’s mother left his family when he was six and one of the best memories he has of her was the songs of Billy Joel they danced together, connecting the artist to her emotional memory to a deeply personal level.

Have fun and listen below to the song that would save Hughie from Vecna.
