After defeats to Fiji and Australia on the first day of the competition, the Yaras needed to beat Great Britain to seek a place in the quarter-finals in Singapore. The Brazilians even took the lead with a try from Thalia Costa. However, the English dominated the rest of the match and with five tries and conversions they scored 35 points to turn the situation around. In addition to losing their place in the quarter-finals, the defeat complicates the situation of the Yaras who finish in the top-8 of the season and guarantee themselves a direct place in the 2024-2025 World Tour.

With the result of the group stage, Brazil entered the seeding match which decides from ninth to 12th place. But once again the Yaras lost, this time to the United States 33-0. The Brazilians thus enter the dispute for 11th place, where they face Spain.
