Discover the mystery of the young (lovely) wolf who lends his name to the film in which he is the protagonist, and which tells the true story of a little girl who is given a puppy that turns out to be a wolf cub. All are located in sheep farming regions, where the return of wolves poses a problem for livestock farmers. A powerful and poignant theme that ends well and is perfect for some quality time with the family.

Along with the director of the Sycamore series, Eric Judor, Dennis Imbert made this film clearly aimed at children, so as not to look down on them, in what he calls a “realistic fairy tale”: “I sometimes criticize these ‘family’ genre films for maintaining a somewhat simplistic and unrealistic view of the world. I believe children appreciate being taken seriously.”
What will they like?
- A mysterious, lovable ball of fur that, despite growing, retains a beauty that will delight animal lovers. At the end of the movie though, you have to get ready to ask for adoption!!
- A complex (see below) and passionate character, Victoria is ready to stand up for everything she believes in. A great example.
- The richness of the film’s tones – which is well executed, but moves you through a lot of emotions (get the tissues ready)!
What could be bothering them?

- The young protagonist, Victoria, has lost her mother when the film begins. He’s been mute ever since and it’s his encounter with the dog/wolf that will give him a taste of life. A tragic beginning for a baby who may need support from the younger ones.
- The wolf is clearly a potential danger, and those willing to hunt it are highly regarded by local breeders. The animal is in danger and is believed to have died within minutes.
- Victoria almost froze to death following the wolf until she was exhausted.
