A UK tycoon threw an extravagant wedding ceremony 20 million poundsthe equivalent of R$ 127 million at the current price, in a hotel located in the south of France, last weekend. The amount was disbursed by Umar Kamani36 years old, co-founder of PrettyLittleThing, a fast fashion retailer.

The party lasted four days and had great celebrities as guests, such as Mariah Carey, Naomi Campbell, Tessa Thompson, Rio Ferdinand and Andrea Bocelli. The four days of celebration were characterized by themed parties, performances by Indian dancers and lots of money thrown in the air.

The ceremony included a white gala welcome party and two wedding parties. The poolside welcome “gathering” was Arabian themed, with henna artists, fireworks and belly dancers, as well as a huge fireworks display. The next day was the Western wedding ceremony.

Kamani’s bride, Nada Adelle, 31, “walked down an avenue lined with ivory flowers” toward her groom, who waited under a rose-covered gazebo in a Tom Ford tuxedo. As he walked down the nave, Bocelli sang La Preghiera with the full orchestra.

Nada wore a dress from the French brand Dior. The piece was created by the brand’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, according to Vogue Arabia. The stunning dress took 540 hours to make by hand. Umar Kamani’s fortune is estimated by British websites at £797 million (R$5 billion).
