Dudu and Bruno Rodrigues remain on schedule and are close to returning

The two are recovering from surgery on their right knee and hope to return to play for Palmeiras by the end of May.

Palmeiras hopes to have at least three reinforcements in the attacking system for the second half of the year. After all, in addition to the anxiety over the arrival of Felipe Anderson, the club lives with the expectation of having Dudu and Bruno Rodrigues with the team to train. The two are at the end of treatment for a knee injury and could return at the end of May-June.

Dudu tore his anterior cruciate ligament and injured the meniscus in his right knee in August. Bruno Rodrigues had a less serious problem, but he also injured his right knee in January. He had to undergo an arthroscopy.

“These will be our reinforcements. Above all, the hope that they quickly recover their physical form and, above all, the confidence of those who come from a difficult and tough injury to be available for the coach’s choice,” said Abel after the victory against Cuiabá.

The attackers have been working at various jobs in the Health and Performance Center since April. Additionally, they do lighter work with the rest of their companions.

Dudu was injured on 27 August and was expected to return in nine to 12 months; that is, between May and August.

Bruno Rodrigues should return in four or five months, the equivalent of the end of May and the end of June. In other words, both fall within the calendar prepared by Verdão.

Dudu and Bruno Rodrigues should also return at an important moment. Moreover, Palmeiras will lose Endrick in July, when the player will go to Real Madrid. Therefore, Abel Ferreira will have more options to set up the offensive system.
