The film is one of the Brazilian highlights of the Cannes Film Festival, whose world premiere is scheduled for May 21 in the parallel section of Critics’ Week. A story of encounters and challenges

The plot of “Baby” follows the journey of Wellington (played by João Pedro Mariano), a young man just released from a detention center. In an attempt to reintegrate into society, Wellington finds himself lost on the streets of São Paulo. His life takes an unexpected turn during a visit to a porn cinema, where he meets Ronaldo (Ricardo Teodoro), a prostitute. The relationship between them develops into a series of passions and conflicts, exploring the complexity of human connections in an urban context.
