“The Office” will have a spin-off in the same universe as the original series

Attention fans The office! The series will get a reboot. The production has been greenlit and will receive a full season broadcast on the Peacock streaming service, which is not available in Brazil. The spin-off will be set in the same universe as the original series.

According to the official description released by the platform, the new series will see “the documentary team that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch looking for a new topic when they discover a historic dying Midwestern newspaper and a publisher trying to revive it with volunteer journalists.”

In a statement, NBCUniversal Entertainment pointed out that even ten years after the end of The office, the series continues to gain popularity and acquire new generations of fans. The company therefore decided to develop the new project, which will present “a new cast of characters in a new setting ready to tell comic stories: a newspaper”.

The post “The Office” will get a spin-off in the same universe where the original series first appeared on Olhar Digital.
