All about the spin-off of “The Office”

The new series will take place in the same universe as “The Office” and will feature the documentary team that captured the Dunder Mifflin branch in Scranton.

Looking for a new subject for their documentary, they come across a historic newspaper in the Midwest that is on the verge of extinction and whose editor is trying to revive it with the help of volunteer reporters.

Greg Daniels, the original creator of the American version, is behind this new series along with Michael Koman. Both serve as executive producers, as do Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, who created the British version that inspired the other show.

According to information from ‘Variety’, the new series, produced by Universal Television, will star Domhnall Gleeson (‘A Matter of Time’, The Revenant’ and ‘Black Mirror’) and Sabrina Impacciatore (‘The White Lotus’ ). ‘ and ‘7 donne et un mistero’), which are scheduled to begin production in July.
