Dozens of civilians are said to have died in a series of attacks carried out by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, including a journalist and his family.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, which cites local sources, reporter Bahaa Okasha and his family died in their home in Jabalia camp, in the north of the enclave.

The vehicle also reported that more people died or were injured in Al-Zawaida, in the central region of the Gaza Strip.

The head of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, is not hiding in Rafah, in the south of the enclave, where an operation by Israeli forces is underway. Two sources in the country familiar with the matter confirmed the information to the Times of Israel website.

The sources added that the nation is not sure where exactly Sinwar is, but they believe the leader of the fundamentalist group is still in Gaza and hiding in the tunnels of Khan Yunis, about seven kilometers from Rafah.

Sinwar is Israel’s most wanted person, along with the commander of the Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Deif.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has warned people in some neighborhoods of Rafah to evacuate their homes as fighting intensifies in the southernmost city of the Palestinian enclave. .
