The volume 2 of the 4th season of ‘Stranger Things’ arrived just over 24 hours ago, many fans have already devoured the new episodes and now they ask Netflix: “when is the 5th season coming?”. The next is expected to be the last season of the acclaimed series, already confirmed by the Duffer Brothers, in February of this year.
The specific date has not yet been set by the streaming platform. But there is something to be reassured of. Unlike the long wait between seasons 3 and 4 of the series, viewers won’t have to spend that much time tormenting us.
“Stranger Things” premiered in July 2016 and had its sequel in October 2017. Thus, it took nearly two years to have its third season, available in July 2019. Due to the pandemic of Covid-19, the break from that to the current season was huge, three years later.
So the Duffer Brothers don’t want to make fans anxious for that long. “During the six-month hiatus of the pandemic, we outlined season 5 and released it on Netflix. Don’t hold back, but this time around the gap should be a little smaller, as we already have an initial draft and we can’t imagine there will be another six-month forced hiatus, “Matt and Ross pointed out.
Instead of three years, the fifth season of “Stranger Things” is expected to arrive on the streaming platform in just over a year. In the ideal world, too, they wanted to film everything together with the current season. On screen, the idea is to show a leap in time, with lots of action from the first scene.
“We usually revisit the characters in their normal lives and what are they like and what are their relationships like? And then something happens, and then there’s an accident and it all starts there. Opening scene. At least that’s what I remember from the sketch, ”Ross promised.
In addition to the fifth season of “Stranger Things”, the brothers are working on a spin-off. This, however, has not yet been confirmed by Netflix. For the new production, Matt and Ross promise new mysteries, new adventures and new unexpected heroes.
