Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire has a confirmed sequel

One of this year’s biggest box office, Godzilla and Kong: The New Empiresequence of Godzilla vs. Kong, a 2021 feature film, will get a new film. According to information from the The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Callaham was hired to direct the script for the novelty.

Known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Yearss (2021) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), Callaham was responsible for the history of Godzilla, a 2014 feature film, responsible for starting the Monsterverse. The new film does not yet have a release date.

In Godzilla and Kong: The New Empirethe former enemies are convinced to work together to stop a new threat hidden in our world, which could put not only our existence at risk, but also that of the colossal titans.

Rebecca Hall as Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes It is Kaylee Hottle as Jia return in the new film. Dan Stevens (Legion), Alex Ferns (Chernobyll) and Speak Chen (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) are the new additions to the sequel’s cast.

Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire has a script Terry Rossioresponsible for the first film, together with Simon Barrett (You’re next) It is Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight). The direction is, again, due to Adam Wingard. Watch the trailer:
