Planet of the Apes: Reign has finally arrived in cinemas and, in fact, is already “reigning”. The sequel grossed $56.5 million upon its debut in the United States, exceeding market expectations and reaching number one at the American box office. The numbers also place the film as the second-best film in the series in terms of launch performance, behind only the $72.6 million made by The fightin 2014.
