After the success, Netflix announced the renewal on Wednesday (15th). The 3-body problem for a second season. The stream announced the news through its official X account and also posted a statement from the creators, David Benioff, DB Weiss and Alexander Woo, celebrating the series’ new year.

Based on the acclaimed book series by Chinese author Liu Cixin, the narrative of The 3-body problem takes viewers on a journey into the unknown, exploring the far reaches of space, time and the complexity of the human condition.
The first year saw a group of scientists involved in humanity’s efforts to prepare for an alien invasion.
The series, which debuted this year, is one of Netflix’s most expensive ever, with per-episode costs in the $20 million range, according to sources familiar with the production budget.
