While the third season of ‘Brigerton’ focuses on Penelope and Colin’s love story, another character is gaining a lot of attention in this installment: Francesca Bridgerton.
On the one hand, the decision to change the actress who played her, leaving Hannah Dodd in her place, gave something to talk about before the start of the series.
Now that the first part of the story is already out, the audience could see that she is gaining ground in the plot (she already debuted before the queen and even won the applause of the monarch).

What is Francesca Bridgerton’s story? In this book it is said
Francesca Bridgerton is the sixth of eight Bridgerton siblings. Her story is mainly developed in the book “The Heart of a Bridgerton”, by Julia Quinn.
In it, it is detailed that Francesca is a woman with a reserved and mysterious personality and that she spent a lot of time with her sister Eloise.
Like her siblings, Francesca marries for love (although in the Netflix series she seems to want to choose the first man who seems suitable) to John Stirling, who debuted in the third season of ‘Brigerton’, called also Lord Kilmartin.
However, at the age of just 22 and shortly after her wedding, tragedy knocks on her door: her husband dies and she suffers a spontaneous abortion of the child they were expecting together.
After John’s death, his cousin Michael becomes the new Earl of Kilmartin. Although Francesca and Michael were on good terms, he is hiding a secret: he has been in love with her since the moment he met her. Unfortunately for him, his first meeting was just days before his wedding to John, so he decides not to get involved.
Despite gaining a new title, Michael goes to India for four years, during which Francesca is left in charge of the family estate and deals with her grief, spending time between the Bridgertons and her new duties.
After this time, she decides it’s time to find a new husband to have a child, which coincides with Michael’s return. They both decide to get married.

As mentioned, the sixth Bridgerton has two husbands in her book. The first of them is John Stirling and the second Michael.
