After a below average day this Friday (17th), Bruno opened his participation with a seventh place in the penultimate Golden Flotilla regatta. Subsequently, a ninth place guaranteed the Brazilian the top-10 overall, placing seventh with 80 points lost. The leadership went to the Singaporean Maximilian Maeder (18), followed by the Italian Riccardo Pianosi (34) and the French Axel Mazella (35).

With his final position, Bruno Lobo will compete in the semi-final, against Axel Mazella, from France, Lorenzo Boschetti, from Italy, and Toni Vodisek, from Slovenia. Only the champion of the group will continue to fight for the podium, where Maximilian Maeder and Riccardo Pianosi already find themselves. Already in the World Cup silver fleet, Brazilian Lucas Fonseca won his last two races and ended up leading the championship’s secondary group.

In the women’s category, Maria do Socorro Reis was another Brazilian who competed in the silver flotilla this Saturday (18). With two results in the top-20 overall, she ended her participation in 13th place (with 261 points lost), being the second best South American of the tournament. The leadership of the gold group went to the French Lauriane Nolot (33), current world champion.
