The end of Criminals takes place in Marseille, where Charly must join forces with Griselda (Virginie Peignien) to recover a large shipment of cocaine seized at customs. Rami (Kida Khodr Ramadan), the contact who told him about this expedition, is dead, and Charly uses the corpse phone that Samira (Svenja Jung) stole to call Joseph (Christoph Krutzler). Joseph, in turn, strikes a deal with suspended police officer Nina (Maya Unger) and in exchange she helps save Charly’s family.

Plan

The plan is presented in flashback. It all starts with Nina, positioned outside the complex. Meanwhile, Joseph takes it upon himself to make a mold of Serge’s (Nicolas Wanczycki) keys to make a copy. Serge, who is Griselda’s right-hand man, is responsible for installing a drainage pipe in the sewers through which Charly will throw the cocaine recovered from the police station bathroom to Serge himself.

To get the copied keys to enter the complex, the key player is Jonas (Jonathan Tittel). Samira convinces Griselda to let Jonas play outside, a last wish, so to speak. Nina and Joseph sew the copied keys into the covering of a ball and send a message to Samira via Rami’s cell phone informing her that everything is ok. She gives a signal to Jonas and he kicks the ball into the trees where the ball exchange takes place, and so Samira comes into possession of the keys.

The scenery

Meanwhile Charly, instead of breaking into the police station, gets into Joseph’s car and the two return to the complex, while Samira and Jonas use the copied key to escape from the cell. But as Samira and Jonas try to escape, in an attempt to help them, Joseph ends up getting shot and Charly trapped in captivity with Hassan (Erdal Yildiz), who believes his brother’s death was Charly’s fault and seeks revenge.

The fight

Griselda’s goal is for Charly and Hassan to fight to the death, an idea that Hassan is very keen to carry out, but Charly explains to Hassan that regardless of who wins, they will both end up dead and that there is no advantage in ‘kill. Charly for something he didn’t even cause. Convinced they have bigger fish to fry, the two decide to jump together from the wall of the complex, trusting that the waves will carry them to their destination.

At the end of Criminals, Charly and Hassan survive in peaceful conditions and our protagonist is finally reunited with his family. Nina and Joseph, also survivors, travel to Tbilisi, Georgia, to use the coin as bait in Nina’s plan for revenge.
