Silver medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, two-time amateur world champion and current world belt holder, Beatriz Ferreira has won another major title in her career. The Brazilian won the final (60 kg) against the Dutch Chelsey Heijnen with a unanimous decision of 5-0, and won her first title in the Eindhoven Box Cup, this Monday (20).
Boxers from all over the world participated during the Eindhoven Box Cup, including teams from Canada to Australia and from Mongolia to Brazil. There, 200 boxers from twenty different countries have appeared in the Netherlands in the last few days. The competition represents an important preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Brazil still has seven more tanners in the final stage of the competition. Wanderley Pereira (80kg), Keno Marley (92kg), Abner Teixeira (92+kg), Caroline Almeida (50kg), Michael Trindade (51kg), Tatiana Chagas (54kg), Luiz Oliveira (57kg) will fight this Monday.
