Filming for the second season of The Sandman they were suspended by the Hollywood actors’ and screenwriters’ strike. This caused a delay in the original schedule, and a new premiere date has not yet been announced. But fans need not worry. Netflix confirmed that the production is still in development and revealed the names of the actors who will play the new Perpetuos in the next season.
The “acquisitions” of the cast are Adrian Lester (Destiny), Esmé Creed-Miles (Delirium) and Barry Sloane (Destruction). The expectation is that new episodes will only be released next year.
This wait, however, could be useful to learn more about one of the novelties of the series. Living head of Destiny, the most dedicated to Perpetui’s functions among the seven brothers, Adrian Lester is not well known to the public.
Born in Birmingham, England, the 55-year-old actor has spent much of his career acting in British productions.
