When film adaptations of the Harry Potter saga marked a generation of fans at the turn of the century, actor Daniel Radcliffe was immortalized as fiction’s most famous wizard. With the new series based on JK Rowling’s books about Max confirmed, the inevitable question is whether we’ll see Radcliffe again, at least in a cameo role.
The actor was asked about this possibility by AND! Newsand responded that he doesn’t think his participation in the series should happen.
“I don’t think so. I think Max wants to, very wisely, take a break from movies. And I don’t know if it would work if we were a part of it,” Radcliffe responded.
Radcliffe began playing Harry Potter in 2001, when he was 12, in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” the first film in the series. The actor, now 34, is too old to reprise the role, as the stories in the books are set when Harry was a teenager. However, a special appearance from those who brought the films’ protagonist to life would definitely please some fans.
Despite this, Radcliffe avoided answering whether he would accept an invitation to be part of the series. “I’m going to be political on this issue and not make assumptions,” he said.
The new series that will adapt the Harry Potter books will arrive only in two years
