According to the Civil Protection, landslides, slope failures and barrier falls could occur. Discover the neighborhoods on alert
The municipal Civil Protection issued a preventive alert this Friday (24th), informing of the high risk of landslides, erosive processes and rolling blocks in sensitive areas (see below). The alert, valid until Monday (27), is based on information provided by the National Center for Monitoring and Warning of Natural Disasters (Cemaden).
Slips, slope failures and barrier falls may occur. These phenomena occur due to the movement of soil and rocks under the influence of gravity, often aggravated by the presence of water.
Guidance – People living in risk areas should observe any changes to the slopes. In the event of signs of instability, residents will have to seek temporary refuge with relatives or friends, or use the shelter facilities made available by the Municipality via road 156. The population is recommended to seek safe places, to stay away from poles, trees and signs and avoid entering flooded areas.
For emergencies and further information, the population can contact the Civil Protection on 199 or the Fire Brigade on 193.
