A successful seventh edition
After the success of their film festival, Télérama and the Association of French Art Cinemas (AFCAE) have repeated to bring together a very large number of viewers of all ages in independent cinemas. Across France, families were able to come together to discover the eclectic program available from a young age during the Children’s Film Festival, which took place from 13 to 30 April.

The films on the show, youth classics and new feature films, have managed to captivate the public. Among the biggest successes of Lost? found again! Available from the age of 4, almost 6,000 entries were recorded, and Ariette, A Little World of Thieves (re-discovered) by almost 5,600 viewers. In total, almost 42,000 viewers could enjoy 15 short films and feature films, but also 4 previews, for a single and favorable price of €3.50.
Some screenings were followed by fun workshops. Thus Maya, Give Me the title by Michel Gondry previewed ahead of its September 25th theatrical release, followed by creative editing and stop-motion production workshops.

Not centralized, the festival spread to all art-house partners of the initiative in the territory of France. Among these cinemas, some were particularly notable for their attendance, such as the Méliès in Grenoble, the Méliès in Villeneuve d’Ascq or the Ciné Saint-Leu in Amiens.
The success of this seventh edition reaffirms the interest of families and children in cinema, as well as the continued commitment of Télérama and AFCAE to young audiences.
