A new challenge for Thomas
Early in the morning, Samuel informs Gabriel that he has to postpone their gym session once again. Gabriel is angry because he fears that he is not ready for the challenge he has set himself: to take part in the Saint-Baume Marathon.
Thomas and Luna attend the phone conversation. Surprised, Luna asks her friend why Gabrielle is in this state. The latter explains to her that her husband wants to participate in the marathon. Luna calls out: “It will become irrelevant.”. So, to make everyday life easier for Thomas, he advises her to prepare her husband herself.
Against all odds, Thomas listens to Luna and arranges Gabrielle at the stadium. She immediately goes to work and asks her husband to do push-ups. The latter thinks it’s a ploy to get revenge for canceling his stay in Croatia, but Thomas replies that he really wants to be her coach. Gabriel is touched.
A few minutes later, Gabriel is spinning on the track. Suddenly a woman runs to him. He decides to give her some tips to improve her move. Annoyed by Gabriel’s behavior, Jokur replies that he knows what he’s doing because he’s studying sports.
At the end of the session, the young woman sits down to regain her composure. Still curious, Gabrielle asks if everything is okay, but she replies that she just has pain in her calf, like every time she runs. Gabriel seems upset, then leaves.
Lucy comes face to face with her stalker
On the way to school, Lucy is talking to one of her friends when Michael suddenly appears. He asks his friend to leave and finds himself alone in front of his victim. He orders her to apologize for telling her father everything, and Lucy does as she says.
The teenager takes the girl’s backpack, opens it and throws all the notebooks on the ground. Then he violently pushes her to the ground and threatens her: “Don’t you ever talk about me again or I’ll do it again and it’ll be worse”. Lucy is outraged by what just happened.
Returning home, Lucy goes to her room. He examines his arm, scratched from his fall. Suddenly someone knocks on the door. It’s his father. Jean-Paul sits with his daughter and asks her how her day was.
Lucy makes him believe that she had no problem with Mikael. Jean-Paul seems relieved and tells his daughter that he had a little chat with his friend’s father. He doesn’t know what just happened.
Jean-Paul asks Lucia not to make the same mistake if it happens again and to talk to him immediately. Before leaving the room, he confides to his daughter: “What makes bullies omnipotent is the silence of their victims.”
Blanche is hiding a dark secret
At the Mistral police station, Mayor LeBlanc is questioned after Yael’s kidnapping. He explains to the police that he did it in order to take revenge on Barbara after closing the kindergarten: “He never said a word of regret, he accused me of being careless, but he didn’t do better”. He also admits that he was the author of the threatening letter addressed to Barbara.
At Bar-Restaurant Le Mistral, everyone cares about Barbara. She thanks her friends for helping her search for Yael and says she’s overwhelmed by the outpouring of solidarity, especially after the hateful messages she’s been targeted for.
Meanwhile, at the police station, the police resume their investigation into the bones found in the basement of Barbara and Abdel. Charlotte, from PTS, informs her colleagues that she has managed to analyze the victim’s DNA: he is a man in his fifties.
While some believe it was a homeless man, Jean-Paul wonders if the victim was a man who worked under the desk of one of the building’s residents. He decides to re-interrogate the former residents.
Denis Vouillet, an artisan jeweler who lived in the building, was interrogated by Samuel and Jean-Paul. He explains that he did not see anyone suspicious on the morning of the tragedy and looks back sadly at the day when everything changed.
Later, Samuel goes to Mistral. He confides in Thomas that he is impressed by what has happened in the neighborhood: “I didn’t realize how violent it was.” Thomas confides in her that there would be more victims without Abdel.
He especially saved Blanche on the day of the tragedy. Puzzled, Samuel asks Thomas why Blanche was in the building so early in the morning. Thomas ignores her, but advises her to speak up about it.
In turn, Blanche finds Denise Bouye at the Pavillon des Fleurs. He explains to her that they will call the police the next day. The latter replies that he was forced to lie during the interrogation and should have done the same: “They don’t have to know. You promised me you’d keep quiet. If you talk, you’re ruining my life.”
What dark secret is Blanche hiding? Does he have a link in the case of bones found? Answer Plus belle la vie in the next episodes, even plus belle.
