The complaints concern mistreatment of children between the ages of zero and three; understand the case

The Civil Police are investigating a nursery for mistreatment of children aged between zero and three years in the Federal District, in the southwestern region. An investigation, with a search and seizure operation, was launched on Tuesday 28th after 22 police incidents were recorded at the 3rd Police Station (DP). The name of the nursery was not disclosed.

During the action, according to the Civil Police, several irregularities were found in the nursery. The plant, for example, has already been closed three times by the health surveillance and continued to operate despite warnings, remaining without a license. Along the way, site conditions remained unsanitary, with poor sanitation and the presence of cockroaches.

Furthermore, daycare has been found to harm children’s health, as many students exhibit health symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and some even end up being hospitalized.

In a statement, the deputy chief of the police station, Victor Dan, explained that the managers of the kindergarten tried to hide the evidence by getting rid of an oven used on the premises. “Cockroaches that the children called Nicole were found inside the oven”says the delegate.

During the operation documents and other material were seized by the Civil Police and are still being analysed. “The PCDF is still trying to identify all those responsible for mistreatment and crimes against public health,” he adds.
