The Old Man: Jeff Bridges series renewed





American pay channel FX has announced the renewal of “The Old Man”, the first career series of Jeff Bridges, Oscar winner for “Crazy Heart” (2009). Highly regarded, the series premiered on June 16 with a critical approval rating of 94%, according to the Rotten Tomatoes average.

“We are thrilled to be working on Season 2 with our colleagues at 20th Television and this fantastic team,” said Eric Schrier, President of FX Entertainment.

The fantastic team includes director Jon Watts (“Spider-Man: No Homecoming”), screenwriters Robert Levine and Jonathan E. The series is based on the book of the same name by Thomas Perry and features Bridges as the titled old man, a retired former CIA agent named Dan Chase, retired and in solitary confinement for decades, who needs to vent his skills. when hired the killer shows up to interrupt his life and peace.
