Netflix: releases of the week (from 3 to 9 June)

Every week, the features the list of Netflix’s top releases, with an emphasis on original content. And between June 3 and 9, Tudum streaming will receive numerous films and series on its platform.

This week Netflix receives, among other original productions, the third (and final) season of the series Sweetness. The films also arrive in the streaming catalog Under the waters of the Seine AND Baki Hanma x Kengan Ashura.

Tuesday – 04/06

The mission is to protect the matriarch (and her legacy) from the clutches of the cunning Nunzio, who has seduced the elderly woman and wants to marry her. In a desperate attempt to save her mother, Anna involves her husband and children in a crazy plan: to kill grandmother Giuliana’s future husband a few days before the wedding.

Wednesday – 05/06

Thursday – 06/06

• Fulfill every martial arts fan’s dream, Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura is the most awaited meeting in the world of anime. Baki, published in Weekly Shonen Champion, by publisher Akita Shoten, is a martial arts manga that has sold more than 85 million copies. The story revolves around several fighters, with a focus on the life-and-death struggle between the young champion Baki Hanma and his father, Yujiro Hanma, the strongest living being on the planet. In the manga Kengan Ashura, the humble employee Kazuo Yamashita meets the mysterious fighter Ohma Tokita and begins participating in “Kengan games”, in which companies resolve their business conflicts by betting large sums on experienced fighters.

• Series | Netflix Original | Fantasy | Drama | Release Year: 2024 (United States)
• After defeating General Abbot in the battle at Paba’s cabin, Gus (Christian Convery), Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), Becky (Stefania LaVie Owen) and Wendy (Naledi Murray) embark on a journey to Alaska in search of Gus’ mother, Birdie (Amy Seimetz), who is working to uncover the mysterious origin of the Scourge. Along the way they meet Dr. Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who may have dangerous ideas about Gus and his role in curing the virus. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges: Helen Zhang (Rosalind Chao), her daughter Rosie (Kelly Marie Tran) and the ferocious werewolf children, who seek to reclaim human births and think Gus is the solution.
