Discover the city’s free entrances and exits
On Saturday 1st, the Public Traffic and Transport Company (EPTC) freed traffic at the two exits of the city which were still blocked due to the accumulation of water. Motorists can now access Castelo Branco via Ramiro Barcelos Street. The last exit from the city, which is via Zaida Jarros towards BR-116 and the Free Way, was released in collaboration with the Federal Traffic Police (PRF).
In addition to the two points that widen the city’s exits, traffic has been freed for local access on Avenida Voluntários da Pátria, between Rua da Conceição and Avenida Sertório. As regards the entrance to the city, the entrance via Sarandi via Assis Brasil continues due to sections with accumulation of water. For these drivers, the recommendation is to access Porto Alegre via the highway and take the humanitarian corridor in the central region or via the BR-116 passing through the airport.
