“We In 50 BC, the Romans occupied the whole of Gallia… all of them? No! The village inhabited by indomitable Gauls to this day and always opposes the conqueror…”
Asterix fans know this: Born in 1959 under the pencils of René Goskin and Albert Uderzo, the toys are quite rare, with the exception of the few figures most commonly available at Asterix Park Stores. Their expectations are finally fulfilled thanks to Playmobil, which adds the French license to various collections inspired by pop culture (Ghostbusters, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Scooby-Doo…).

While Guillaume Canet has finished filming Asterix and Obelix: Middle of the Empire (set for a February 1, 2023 release) and delivered the first poster for his event feature with an impressive cast, kids young and old will have a chance to wait for a repeat. The greatest armorial battles in different boxes, inspired by the world of famous comics with thirty-nine albums.
The basic set to start your never-ending Playmobil collection is obviously the Village Banquet. It features a table that can hold 18 gals, many accessories (pots, rotisserie, wild boar…and a menhir!), a hut and its furniture, palisades, two trees, four warriors, villagers and, of course, the Asterix tandem. & Obelix, with moustache, sword & magic pumpkin for one; Ribbons, collections of Roman helmets and dogmatics for another.

To complete your panorama, you’ll be able to get various decoration boxes (Abrakurkix Hut, Assuranturix Hut, Legionnaires’ Tent) as well as character boxes to complete two camps (Panoramax and Medicine Cauldron, Boar Hunting Asterix / Obelix / Dogmaticus and a set of four armed Roman Legionnaires with helmets, with shields and pilums).

We’re obviously hoping for more boxes to be added to this first salvo: an Ordralfabétix shop, a Cétautomatix workshop, a pirate ship… or why not Julius Caesar and Cleopatra?
