“Bad boys, bad boys, what will they do? What will they do when they come to you?” If you’ve heard these words in your head, it’s because you’re a huge fan of the Bad Boys saga, started by Michael Bay in 1995.
Bad boys for life!
On June 5th, episode 4, titled Ride or Die, will be coming to our region! Still starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, this new film promises a good dose of adrenaline. Since Bad Boys For Life, it is the duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilal Falha who took control of the franchise and replaced Michael Bay.
Before we dive into the story of this episode 4, here’s a quick recap of the ending of Bad Boys For Life. In the film, Mike Lowery (Will Smith) discovers that he has a son, Armando Aretas (Jacob Scipio). The latter, who worked for the cartel, killed Captain Howard (Joe Pantoliano) on the orders of his mother, Isabel (Kate Del Castillo).
The latter had a relationship with Mike when he was recruited into the cartel, before the events of Bad Boys and his meeting with Marcus. In love, Mike and Isabelle had the ambition to run away together.
In the end, the Miami super cop decided to stay loyal to the police and they parted ways. Isabelle, who then rises through the ranks of the cartel, hides from him that she is pregnant.
A family clash
At the end of the film, they confront each other and Isabelle tries to kill Mike with a gun, but Armando intervenes and takes the bullet instead of her father. Lt. Rita Secada (Paola Núñez) returns fire with her gun, causing the antagonist to fall into the flames caused by the helicopter crash.
In the end, Armando survives his injuries and ends up in prison for the murders ordered by his mother. He is then visited by Mike, who gives him a chance to redeem himself when the time is right.
4 years later, Armando will have a chance to find redemption with Mike and Marcus during the events of Ride or Die, in theaters June 5th!
