Guests + The Truman Show: What would be one of the biggest comedy hits of summer 2024?

After Boule & Bill and Les Têtes de l’emploi, the duo Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier return to cinema with a new comedy: Le Larbin! This time, the directors enlist Cad Merad, Isabel Carré, Clovis Korniak and Audran Katin in this adventure, which will be released in theaters on July 17.

Featured in the hit series Les Bracelets Rouges, Audran Catin slips into the costume of Lewis, a young lazy party animal. The latter multiplies escapades and lavishly spends the fortune of his father, the president of a luxury hotel group.

Enraged, the latter decides to teach his son a good lesson, with a revolutionary idea: make him believe that he mysteriously landed three and a half centuries earlier, during the time of Louis XIV! Falling into this carefully crafted masquerade, the young man quickly discovers that castle life was not for everyone at the time!

When guests meet The Truman Show

Goodbye sequins and smartphones, Louis will have to, against his will, exchange them for ballets, bouquets and scars. Mistreated by a tyrannical viscount, a young lacquer will die! Between Back to the Future , The Visitors , and The Truman Show , The Minion has released a super-busy trailer that teases the live-action comedy!

A special mention to Clovis Cornillac, who looks like he’s having a childish scare in the role of the totally smarmy long-haired director; A sort of demiurge of the world recreated for Cad Merad’s son, he is strongly reminiscent of Kristoff, the creator of The Truman Show, played by Ed Harris in Peter Weir’s cult film.

The Minion hits theaters July 17, 2024! Meanwhile, find Clovis Cornillac in Un p’tit truc en plus, currently a hit at the cinema.
