Despite not winning this WNBA season, the Washington Mystics started the game better. The team took advantage of some flaws in the Chicago Sky defense. Thus, they opened a nine-point lead going into halftime winning the game 44 to 35. But in the third quarter, Washington’s performance dipped. With just 10 points in the partial, Sky took the lead in the standings and maintained it until the final part of the match, obtaining the victory by eight points.

Still recovering from her pre-season shoulder injury, Kamilla Cardoso once again saw limited time on the pitch, playing just 15 minutes. The Brazilian center scored two points, as well as five rebounds and three assists. Point guard Chennedy Carter was the game’s scorer, scoring 25 points for the Chicado Sky, while Angel Reese had a double-double, with 16 points and 11 rebounds. On the Washington Mystics side, forward/pivot Aaliyah Edwards was the team’s standout with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
