The Year of the Shadow begins once and for all with the announcement of the new game starring the radical character, months before the new movie based on the games
Sonic X Shadow Generationsa new game that fits into the franchise’s timeline, received a new trailer that confirmed the release date for October 25th and also showed off a bit of what we can expect from this meeting of generations of hedgehogs, including the arrival of the antihero Shadow.

The character’s participation is part of the so-called Year of the Shadow, remembering that the black hedgehog will be the great antagonist of sonic 3, a film that will be released in theaters in December. The new game also features the villain Black Doom, who poses a threat to everyone, forcing the antihero to unleash all of his powers along with Sonic and the pot-bellied version of him to save everyone.
The game will show the origins of Shadow and explore the world of Generations in an open-world hub inspired by game Sonic frontiers.

Sonic Generations will also receive a notable graphical upgrade, continuing as a collection of stages that has marked generations of fans of the blue hedgehog, combining 3D and 2D gameplay, striking the nostalgic hearts of players around the world.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released for PlayStation 5, NintendoSwitch AND Xbox Series/S on October 25th.
