Between 1995 and 2024, the Bad Boys saga featured 4 films, the last of which hit theaters on June 5. For almost 30 years, two Miami supercops have been giving us good doses of adrenaline thanks to their action-packed adventures!
After Ride or Die, are Will Smith and Martin Lawrence still motivated for part 5? Aren’t 55 and 59 too old for this crap? he asked The Hollywood ReporterBoth actors answered the question.
Shocking duet
“We love working together”– first trusted by Martin Lawrence. “When we got to the set of Ride or Die, literally on the first day, we moved very quickly.”Will Smith added. “Martin said, ‘Hey, man, slow it down a little bit. We’re going to enjoy this shoot, and we’re going to enjoy it the way it’s meant to be.’Mike Lowry’s interpreter recalls.
According to Will Smith, Martin Lawrence set the tone from the first day of filming by allowing the team to enjoy the opportunity to work together without rushing. The duo then discussed the possibility of a 5th film with THR.
We could do one more film before passing the baton. We still have one in us.
“I think we could do one more movie before we pass the status.”Will Smith pointed out, suggesting that an episode 5 isn’t out of the question at all. “There are many stars who can inherit us.”

The next generation will have to wait
“But until the next generation comes along, we’re still here and it’s not time to pass the torch, we’ll hold it for a while”Martin Lawrence explained, which woke up his life partner.
“Those kinds of relationships have to be developed, it’s a godsend to have that kind of relationship, both on camera and in life.”Will Smith concluded his 30-year friendship with Martin Lawrence.
Meanwhile, Bad Boys Ride or Die just hit theaters. We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out if there will be a sequel. Box office results will be decisive. Keep in mind that Episode 3 grossed $426 million internationally for a $90 million budget. Would it be better to Ride or Die? Answer in a few weeks.
