Yellowstone fans are preparing to see the series end without Kevin Costner. The 69-year-old actor is not participating in the resumption of filming for the final season, which dates to coincide with the production of the third part of his Western fresco Horizon: The American Saga.
For several months, John Dutton’s interpreter and program creator Taylor Sheridan have been publicly settling their scores with the media. Artistic differences seem to be at the root of this feud, as well as conflicting agendas.
Returns are possible, but under certain conditions…
Delays in the delivery of the scripts caused the filming of the last episodes of Yellowstone to be postponed, although everything was planned so that the filming of the series and the Kevin Costner western did not overlap. Unable to abandon his film, the latter was therefore forced to skip resuming filming at Yellowstone.
Despite everything, the 69-year-old American actor does not completely close the door to return to the series. The latter has repeatedly spoken of his desire to return and expressed his love for the program and its character. During an interview with People magazine, Kevin Costner reiterated his desire to rejoin the cast of Yellowstone.
“I’ve always supported this show and I love it. It means a lot to me.” He particularly stated and added on the subject of a possible return: “We really want to come back in good conditions. I think that’s what everyone wants. For me, it really has to be done in the best conditions.”
Can Kevin Costner return to Yellowstone again?
When asked by our colleagues about the chances of his return, Kevin Costner is once again optimistic, stating “There’s always a chance”And that she wants her desire back “It’s clear to everyone”. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan has yet to respond to these new claims.
We remind you that the first part of the 5th season ended with Jamie Dutton’s new betrayal. Manipulated by his mistress Sarah Atwood, the latter used the functions of the Attorney General to initiate proceedings.impeachment v. John Dutton of his father. A lawsuit that could cost a Yellowstone rancher far more than his mandate as Montana’s governor…
Currently filming, the final episodes of Yellowstone are expected later this year on Paramount+. Other projects in the Western franchise include a sequel (tentatively titled 2024), a spin-off 6666 (centered on the character of Jim), a new prequel 1944, and season 2 in 1923.
