“Are You Sure?!” will debut on August 8, showcasing the duo in three international destinations
BTS members Jimin and Jung Kook will star in a new travel series, “Are You Sure?!”, coming exclusively to Disney+. The announcement was made Tuesday (7/2) by the K-pop group’s record label, Big Hit Music, and its parent company, Hybe.
The series, which premieres on August 8, follows the duo as they travel to three locations in three countries: New York City, Jeju Island, South Korea, and Sapporo, Japan. Across eight episodes, Jimin and Jung Kook enjoy summer at the beach and a ski resort, giving fans — known as ARMY — an exclusive behind-the-scenes look as the two embark on a journey together.
Recordings and context
Filming took place in 2023, before the two K-pop stars enlisted in South Korea’s mandatory military service. This is the first travel series to star exclusively Jimin and Jung Kook, although BTS has previously produced other travel-related content, such as the popular variety shows “Bon Voyage” and “In The Soop,” which are available on Hybe Corp.’s Weverse platform.
Other BTS projects
On Tuesday (7/2), it was also confirmed that Jin, the eldest member of BTS, will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay as a torchbearer for South Korea. Jin is the only member of the group who has already completed his military service, having been discharged last month after enlisting in December 2022.
New episodes of “Are You Sure?!” will be released every Thursday through September 19.
