Do you remember the great series The Cleaner? When it was released in 2021, this Netflix drama created a surprise, even surpassing the impressive numbers of Queen’s Game. Good news, its creator, Molly Smith Metzler, is putting the platform back together for a new project called Sirens.
According to Deadline, pitched as a black comedy, the project is already backed by an all-female cast, and one that’s impressive. Oscar winner Julianne Moore, Megan Fahy, The White Lotus Revelation and Millie Alcock, star of Dragon House, are hired.
Sirens is an adaptation of a play that Molly Smith Metzler herself wrote after leaving the prestigious Juilliard School. The story follows Devon, who is worried about her sister’s relationship with her new boss, Michaela Kelly. Michaela’s lavish lifestyle becomes an obsession for Simon, and Devon tries to intervene.
When Devon finds his sister, he realizes that the wonderful Michaela Kelly will become a real adversary. The series takes place over one weekend at the boss’s luxurious house.
Still according to Deadline , Sirens is described as “A poignant, sexy, dark and hilarious exploration of women and their relationship to powerFun fact: The series is produced by Luckycharp, a company co-founded by none other than Margot Robbie.
