The auditor speaks of a R$ 2 million fine for John Textor and a six-year suspension for the SAF representative of Botafogo
The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) published, this Friday (5), the conclusion of the investigation into the complaints filed by John Textor, owner of the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) of Botafogo. The businessman speaks of manipulation of results in the Brazilian championship and the rapporteur proposes a six-year suspension and a fine of 2 million reals.
The entity analyzed the evidence that Textor claims to have. In fact, the judgment of the documents is that they are “useless”. It was also concluded that the facts constitute sports crimes and harm the honor of seven sports entities, nine athletes and nine referees.

“The request to open the investigation found violations of sporting ethics and personal motivation,” the publication reads.
Textor has long claimed to have evidence that matches in the Brazilian championship were rigged. He has submitted the documentation to the STJD for examination.
The Attorney General’s Office for Sports Justice of Palmeiras and São Paulo has requested the opening of an investigation to investigate the allegations. The request was also signed by the Professional Athletes Union of São Paulo and the Football Referees Association.
Auditor Mauro Marcelo de Lima e Silva is asking for the case to be referred to the Rio de Janeiro courts.
“Considering that in theory the criminal offences of Defamatory Report and False Report of a Crime are configured, a complete copy of this Investigation must be sent to the Attorney General of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Luciano Oliveira Mattos de Souza, for the measures he deems necessary”.
Evidence
Textor, in fact, sent two videos, one lasting six minutes and the other 47. They were made by Good Game, a company commissioned by the entrepreneur to carry out the analyses.
In addition to a PDF document with the name: “level 3 match report between SE Palmeiras 5 x 0 São Paulo FC, held on 25/10/2023” and seven other matches.
“John Charles Textor used the services of the company “Good Game”. Under the pretext of falsifying alleged evidence of false manipulation of correspondence, to the detriment of the rights of individuals and legal entities unjustly accused by him”, reads an excerpt from the report.
