17 million entries: This famous French actor will be Bumblebee in Transformers of 2024

On October 23, the Transformers saga will return to the cinema with the animated film: The Beginning! Directed by Josh Cooley, director of Toy Story 4, the feature film will return to its roots.

The story will take place entirely on Cybertron and tells the story of how two brothers in arms, Optimus Prime and Megatron, became sworn enemies, leading to the ultimate battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Paramount Pictures has just revealed the lucky individuals who will have the honor of voicing the French version of the robots. For VF fans, don’t worry, Adrien Antoine will be playing Optimus Prime. The actor is the French voice of Chris Hemsworth, who lends his voice to the character in the original version.

In turn, Baptiste Mark will voice D-16, the young bot who would become Megatron, voiced by Brian Tyree Henry in the original version. The latter has already been voiced in VF by Baptiste Mark in Bullet Train, Godzilla vs Kong and New Empire.

For two other supporting characters, Paramount chose two stars of French film and television, Philippe Lachaux and Audrey Fleroux. The first to make 17 million French people laugh with comedies like Babysitting or Alibi.com will lend his voice to B-127, aka Bumblebee.

As for the second star of the HPI series, he will vocally play Elita, a brash and determined Autobot. In the original version, these two characters are played by Keegan-Michael Key and Scarlett Johansson.

Note that this is not the first time that Philippe Lachaux has entered the world of dubbing. It is his timbre that we can hear on Max, the hero of the Comme des bêtes saga. He is also Peter Rabbit in the animated film that was released in 2018. We could also hear him playing Christopher King’s Nicky Larson character in Private Eyes.

On the other hand, Audrey Flerot also tried her hand in Mission Impossible 3, in which she plays Maggie Q. In addition, we can hear his sweet whispered words to Joaquin Phoenix in it. She lends her voice to AI, performed by Scarlett Johansson in the original version.

See you in theaters on October 23rd to discover the origins of Megatron and Optimus Prime!
