Men’s Volleyball Team Called Up for Olympic Games

Brazilian men’s volleyball is called up for the Paris 2024 Olympics. This Sunday (7), the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) published the list of athletes chosen by Bernardinho to represent the country in the quest for the fourth gold medal in history.

As with the women’s team, the men’s volleyball team also gradually got to know its representatives. CBV called artists and celebrities from Brazilian television and the Internet to announce them name by name on their social networks.

Among the “surprises” in the squad is the young Lukas Bergmann. The striker from Sesi is coming off an excellent season, which has guaranteed him the title of the Men’s Superliga. Although previously hypothesized, he won the competition against the experienced Maurício Borges. In midfield, Isaac has won his place, leaving out the central defenders Judson and Otávio.

In pursuit of a four-time Olympic medal in Paris-2024, the men’s volleyball team will have no easy task in the first phase. With a draw in the group, the team falls into the group of death, along with Italy, Poland and Egypt. The debut is scheduled for July 27 at 8:00 (Brasilia time), against the Azzurri.
