As he prepares to make his highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning film Parasite, Bong Joon Ho has built an excellent cast, with Robert Pattinson leading the way. He adds a former collaborator to this set, as Steven Yeun is now on board.
Bong writes and directs an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s science fiction novel. Mickey Mouse7. The story follows protagonist Mickey7, who is a mercenary: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the frozen world of Niflheim. Whenever there is a mission that is too dangerous, even suicidal, the crew turns to Mickey Mouse.
After an iteration dies, a new body regenerates with most of its memories intact. After six victims, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal … and why it was the only colonial place open when he took it.
As Bong, we can expect him to put storytelling through his filter and create something new. In addition to Pattinson, the cast includes Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette. Meanwhile, Yeun previously worked with Bong on the 2017 Netflix movie. All right.
The next step for the actor is Jordan Peele. Nowhich will hit UK cinemas on 12 August.
