Dmae defines companies for pump house projects and dam works

The companies have already started inspections of the flood protection system structures and are expected to provide the first reports in the coming weeks.

The city of Porto Alegre published on Tuesday (9) in the Official Gazette of Porto Alegre (Dopa) the definition of the companies that will collaborate with the Municipal Department of Water and Sewerage (DMAE) in the first projects of the municipality’s flood protection system.

The companies will collaborate on studies of the stormwater pumping stations (Ebaps) and the levees. In Ebaps, Dmae’s goal is to install electrical panels, replace motors and install generators. The levees will be recomposed and corrected in height.

The companies have already started inspections of the flood protection system structures and are expected to provide initial reports in the coming weeks. These plans will serve as a basis for the tendering of the work.
